Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This policy explains how Terrivis Advisory collects, uses, and protects personal information through terrivis.com. We are based in Edmonton, Alberta, and we handle personal information in line with Canadian privacy law.
What information we collect
We collect personal information only when you choose to give it to us, and a limited amount of technical information when you visit the site.
When you submit our contact form, we collect:
- Your full name, company name, and email address.
- Your phone number, if you choose to provide it.
- How you heard about us and the service you are interested in, if you choose to tell us.
- Any message you write in the form.
When you browse the site, Google Analytics 4 collects information about your visit. This includes pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. We use this information in aggregate and do not use it to identify you.
Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and request times, to operate and secure the site.
How we use your information
We use the information you send through the contact form to respond to your inquiry and to arrange and prepare for consultations. We may follow up with you about the services you asked about.
We use Google Analytics data to understand how people use the site, so we can improve its content and performance.
We do not use your information for any other purpose without your consent, unless the law requires or permits it.
How we share your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
We use a small number of service providers that process information on our behalf:
- Vercel, which hosts the website.
- Resend, which delivers contact form submissions to our inbox.
- Google, which provides Google Analytics.
These providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. Information held outside Canada is subject to the laws of that country. We choose providers that protect information with appropriate safeguards.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, such as in response to a valid legal order.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 for anonymous analysis of site traffic. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish visits and measure how the site is used. We do not use it for advertising.
You can opt out of Google Analytics on all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout (opens in new tab). You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Your privacy rights
Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), you have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you, and get a copy of it.
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete your information, unless we must keep it by law.
- Withdraw your consent to our use of your information, subject to legal or contractual limits.
To make a request, email info@terrivis.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on a request.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
Data retention and security
We keep contact form submissions only as long as we need them to respond to you and to manage any work that follows. We then delete them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
We protect personal information with reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections, access limited to our team, and reputable service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
